Day 1: The Mehndi Ceremony The Mehndi ceremony marked the beginning of Errol and Melaka’s three-day wedding extravaganza. Held at a picturesque garden venue, it was a kaleidoscope of colors, music, and laughter. The couple’s friends and family came together to celebrate this auspicious occasion with enthusiasm and love. Melaka’s hands and feet were adorned with intricate henna designs, symbolizing the bride’s beauty and grace. Errol, equally excited, looked dashing in traditional Indian attire. The atmosphere was electric, with dancing and singing that continued late into the night. As photographers, capturing the joy and vibrancy of this day was truly a delightful experience.
Day 2: The Haldi Ceremony The Haldi ceremony, held on the second day, was a heartwarming affair that celebrated the purity and sanctity of love. Errol and Melaka were adorned with a paste made from turmeric and sandalwood, applied by their loved ones. This ritual symbolized the purification of the couple, preparing them for a blessed union. The yellow hues of the Haldi paste, combined with the radiant smiles of the bride and groom, created a stunning visual contrast. The day began with a traditional Hindu wedding procession, with the groom arriving on a majestic white horse, symbolizing his arrival to claim his bride. The mandap (wedding canopy) was adorned with flowers and intricate decorations, creating a sacred and enchanting atmosphere.
The couple exchanged vows, garlands, and rings, sealing their love in the presence of their family, friends, and the divine.
