Chenay and jaco
This weekend I had the honor of photographing the lovely couple, Chenay and Jaco. It was a warm morning, with the sun sitting beautifully on the horizon. The mist just slightly coming off from the water reflecting the world upside down.
After about an hour to two hours of driving I’ve hit a dirt road. GPS said to continue on wards but it was only after around 10km, that my assistant gave me the look of what did we get ourselves into. Arriving at destination, I was a bit skeptical, as this was the only venue which I could only view online. It was bland, and nothing really going on outside. But as we walked through the reception, it opened up to me. A beautiful, mystical paradise in the middle of nowhere.
It had beautiful trees, a spectacular green lawn (definitely did not expect that in the middle of nowhere). And there was this beautiful pond, clean and well taken care of as the fish leaped out of the water.
This was a paradise, I started to worry a bit though, as there’s so many features that I wanted to us for and with Chenay & Jaco, and was afraid that we wont have enough time to do all. But int he end we made everything possible. I cant stress how the hour after the ceremony is.
But this was onmly the beginning of the awesome wedding, the reception…elegant, sophisticated, and jaw dropping. I can see why they chose this venue. Oxbow estate.
Met the bride, and she was as calm as can be, very excited. But as the time crawled on, the nerves started to show. Speaking less, palms sweating, and nervous giggles every few minutes. It was adorable, and I could not resist photographing it.
But she was not alone as the groom also had his signs of nervs setting in when the time came closer, getting quite, and more focused. Both of them Could not wait for the I do’s.
What a wedding this was, surely one to remember.
